33724661ALIX and ceramide differentially control polarized small extracellular vesicle release from epithelial cells. Here, we established methods of studying exosomal heterogeneity by using polarized epithelial cells and showed that distinct types of small extracellular vesicles (more specifically CD9- and CD63-positive, Annexin I-negative small extracellular vesicles, which we refer to as exosomes herein) are differentially secreted from the apical and basolateral sides of polarized epithelial cells. Thus, two independent machineries, the ALIX-Syntenin1-Syndecan1 machinery (apical side) and the sphingomyelinase-dependent ceramide production machinery (basolateral side), are likely to be responsible for the polarized exosome release from epithelial cells. We also identify GPRC5C (G protein-coupled receptor class C group 5 member C) as an apical exosome-specific protein.
33725248Effect of Intranasal Administration of Multipotent Mesenchymal Stromal Cell Exosomes on Memory of Mice in Alzheimer's Disease Model.Intranasal administration of isolated exosomes expressing typical markers CD9, CD63 and CD81 improved spatial memory in bulbectomized animals, which manifested in a significant increase in the number of visits to the target sector and the time spent there in comparison with indifferent sectors.
33747370Engineered extracellular vesicles as versatile ribonucleoprotein delivery vehicles for efficient and safe CRISPR genome editing. We inserted RNA aptamer com into single guide RNA (sgRNA), and fused com-binding ABP Com to both termini of tetraspan protein CD63 that is abundant in exosomes.
33766230[Exosomes derived from human placental mesenchymal stem cells reduce human lung microvascular endothelial cell injury induced by lipopolysaccharide via enhancing autophagy].The morphological characteristics of exosomes were observed by transmission electron microscopy, and the expression of specific markers CD9 and CD63 on the surface of exosomes was detected by Western blotting.
33794910Asthmatic condition induced the activity of exosome secretory pathway in rat pulmonary tissues.According to our data, the promotion of asthmatic responses increased exosome biogenesis indicated by increased CD63 levels and acetylcholine esterase activity compared to the normal condition (p < 0.05).
33803623Multi-Quantum Dots-Embedded Silica-Encapsulated Nanoparticle-Based Lateral Flow Assay for Highly Sensitive Exosome Detection.Anti-CD63 antibodies were introduced on the surface of the M-QD-SNs, and a lateral flow immunoassay with the M-QD-SNs was conducted to detect human foreskin fibroblast (HFF) exosomes.

33809102Trastuzumab Modulates the Protein Cargo of Extracellular Vesicles Released by ERBB2+ Breast Cancer Cells.Trastuzumab Modulates the Protein Cargo of Extracellular Vesicles Released by ERBB2 While the effects of Trastuzumab on ERBB2 cancer cells are well known, those on the extracellular vesicles (EVs) released from these cells are scarce.
33831402RAB5A effect on metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma cell line via altering the pro-invasive content of exosomes. Moreover, no significant changes in the expression of exosomal CD63 and Alix reflected that no differences might be occurred in protein composition of RAB5A knockdown cell-derived exosomes. Then, we estimated changes in the total protein composition of exosomes via analyzing the expression of exosomal markers, CD63 and Alix.
33833530Serum Exosomal miRNA Might Be a Novel Liquid Biopsy to Identify Leptomeningeal Metastasis in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.Western blot (CD63, TSG101) and electron microscope analyses were used to verify exosome extraction, after which exosomal miRNA sequencing was performed.
