Exosomal CD73 from serum of patients with melanoma suppresses lymphocyte functions and is associated with therapy resistance to anti-PD-1 agents. | Early on-treatment, expression levels of both CD73 and PD-L1 on exosomes isolated from patients receiving pembrolizumab or nivolumab monotherapy were significantly increased compared with baseline. Expression of CD73 and programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) were evaluated on exosomes enriched for CD63 by on-bead flow cytometry. Immunosuppressive pathways associated with exosomes can affect T-cell function and the therapeutic efficacy of anti-programmed cell-death protein 1 (anti-PD-1) therapy. Incubation of exosomes with CD3/28 activated T cells in the presence of AMP resulted in a significant reduction of IFN-γ release, which was reversed by the CD73 inhibitor APCP or by the selective A2A adenosine receptor antagonist ZM241385. Levels of CD73 and PD-L1 on exosomes were correlated with therapy response.
Design and development of novel fluorescence sensing material for exosome recognition. | Exosomes are extracellular vesicles with relatively specific expression of CD63 transmembrane protein. In vitro, the proposed polymer showed better ability to enter cells after linking exosomes via CD63; in vivo, it showed the ability to bind stably to exosomes and target tumor implants.
Men and women display distinct extracellular vesicle biomarker signatures in response to military operational stress. | EVs were identified with markers associated with exosomes (CD63), microvesicles (VAMP3), apoptotic bodies (THSD1), and skeletal muscle-derived EVs (SGCA) and quantified using imaging flow cytometry.
Affinity-based isolation of extracellular vesicles by means of single-domain antibodies bound to macroporous methacrylate-based copolymer. | The combined analyses of morphological features and biomarker (CD9, CD63 and CD81) presence indicated that the recovered EVs were exosomes.
Degron tagging of BleoR and other antibiotic-resistance genes selects for higher expression of linked transgenes and improved exosome engineering. | Although a putative CD63-binding peptide, CP05, has been used to decorate exosome membranes in a technology known as "exosome painting," we show here that CP05 binds equally well to CD63 Copyright © 2022 The Authors.
Extracellular vesicles delivering nuclear factor I/C for hard tissue engineering: Treatment of apical periodontitis and dentin regeneration. | Here, we investigated roles of extracellular vesicle (EV) in AP and odontoblastic differentiation of SCAPs, moreover, a novel nuclear factor I/C (NFIC)-encapsulated EV was developed to promote dentin regeneration.
Reduced Plasma Extracellular Vesicle CD5L Content in Patients With Acute-On-Chronic Liver Failure: Interplay With Specialized Pro-Resolving Lipid Mediators. | Our objective was to analyze macrophage anti-inflammatory protein CD5L in plasma extracellular vesicles (EVs) and assess its as yet unknown relationship with lipid mediators in ACLF.
LAMP2A regulates the loading of proteins into exosomes. | Here, we describe a mechanism whereby proteins containing a KFERQ motif pentapeptide are loaded into a subpopulation of exosomes in a process that is dependent on the membrane protein LAMP2A.
Mesenchymal stem cell derived exosomes-based immunological signature in a rat model of corneal allograft rejection therapy. | The nanovesicles obtained were expressing exosome specific protein markers CD9, CD63, CD81.
CD63-positive extracellular vesicles are potential diagnostic biomarkers of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. | No abstract available
